Here's a close-up of the cable needed. It's a 1.8m, shielded, audio phone plug with both a white and red phono plug as a Y adapter. [part number 42-2551]

I must press the AUX button on the Bose and crank up the volume to listen but it is an easy solution. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.
