The July issue of Reader's Digest has an amusing article by Andy Simmons entitled "Road Trip" in which he quips on p. 127, "...Then, I downloaded songs onto an iPod. (Have you seen these things? You input music into them, then spend the rest of the day trying to keep the earpieces from falling out of your ear.)..."

These earbuds are by JVC and come in several colors (including a guy-appropriate black). They are sold at Circuit City and online via Amazon. They squish up when you hold them between thumb and forefinger and push them in your ear canal. I can wear them pushed in for a long period of time without the pain and "falling out" headache. The reviews say the sound quality is not as good and they might not be as sturdy but for about $20 what do you expect?

The earbud clip is by PKOHNYC and makes the earbud headphones neat and tidy when not in use. Another great thing is the Sumajin Smartwrap which shortens up the cord. I bought these two items in a multi-pack though Amazon.

I am listening to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince which I bought some time back from iTunes for my book listening hubby. Jim Dale who reads these books is incredible. The next book will arrive next week so I should go now and get back to listening....
