Midge on Facebook

With the myriad of interesting things to work with that I learned about at FETC, I set a goal to join Facebook. My friend Kathy Schrock and her son, who is a student at UConn, took pity on me that I had no Facebook friends and asked me to be their friend. Even for an only child like me who copes nicely alone, I immediately felt lonely (sob!) without that "like mind" online pal.

I do think that social networking is a lot of fun and has changed the way I work with the Web and communicate with others.

I placed a Facebook "badge" at the bottom of my main page so that even if you don't want to join, you can see what Facebook looks like (but I need new friends so I hope you do!). Kathy designed my "South Park" 'toon avatar to resemble me which is pretty accurate, don't you think?
